Questions about Trials

Can I do a trial prior to booking?

Unfortunately, we do not offer trials prior to booking, because we can't guarantee your date will still be available. I would hate for you to love your hair at the trial, which I'm confident you would, then not be able to have us style your hair for the wedding.

A good way to look at it:
Trials are to show you a preview of your bridal hair, not to test out your stylist.

Why is it a good idea to have a trial?

Trials are also known as "Preview Appointments" because it's a time for you preview your wedding hair before the big day. They allow for me to understand your hair and for us to be on the same page for the wedding day. Trials are reserved for booked brides only.

What can I expect at my trial appointment?

We will preview 1 style of your choice, and this is where you can try out your veil and accessories, while we pin/nail/narrow down the details of your style before the wedding. This appointment typically lasts around 2 hours. Previewing additional styles may be available at an additional cost.

When and where does the trial take place?

All preview appointments are held at my in-home studio in the Beverly/La Brea area of Los Angeles. Traveling on location is only applicable for weddings; I do not travel for preview appointments.

Other Questions

Do you offer makeup too?

I do not offer makeup. I specialize exclusively in wedding hair, but I can happily refer you to my top makeup artist recommendations.

What if I don't have an exact head count of who wants their hair done?

No worries! Changes can be made up until 4 weeks before the wedding date as long as we have a minimum to calculate the 50% retainer.

Should I get hair extensions?

I highly recommend  extensions if you have fine or thin hair and the style desired is a voluminous updo, glam waves, or a half-up/half-down style.

Extensions I recommend: Atelier Extensions

Do you travel to me on the wedding morning?

Yes! On your big day, I will travel to the location you are getting ready at so you can relax, enjoy your wedding morning, and get pampered in style.

Do you bring an assistant with you?

I can comfortably style 4 people. 5 or more, I will bring an additional artist to help speed up the morning.

When should I reach out to book my hair?

You can fill out the "Book Now" form as soon as you know your wedding date. We try to stick to a first-come, first-serve rule of thumb. We receive multiple requests for the same date, and therefore, we can't hold any wedding bookings without a signed contract & deposit. The sooner you reach out, the more likely you are to snag the date you want.
